Artist Statement
As an artist I strive to find new and inclusive ways to explore movement within dance. I hope to use my voice as an artist and journalist to bring dance to audiences that may not be aware that they can dance and are dancers. Adaptive and physically integrated dance are changing the definition of what a dancer is. The belief that everyone can dance being reaffirmed through action and advocacy truly opens the doors for everyone to be equally and equitably introduced to dance. With this in mind, I find great importance and responsibility to get the mission of adaptive and physically integrated dance out into the public to provide resources for everyone to know that every body can dance.
